Today’s Thought on Capitalism and Freedom

In reference to Passover (which ends today) and to show just how out of touch some are in regards to American history and what our founding fathers believed and based our country on, I offer this quote and article.

“As Samuel Adams realized, dependence on government masters, whether they are Egyptian kings or British ones, can be tempting, whether the temptation is garlic and onions or new energy efficient windows for your house. Freedom isn’t always as materially comfortable as slavery. But it has other virtues.”

I don’t know when…..maybe sometime during the 1960s? This just goes to show you how out of touch socialists are to the foundations that the founding fathers stood for. Instead of creating more individuals, they want to create more dependents.
