“To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with lots of pride in the heroism of those who died in the country’s service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations.”
– President Woodrow Wilson
To those that have served, Thank you. To those that are serving today in an all volunteer US military, Thank You.

Also, let us never forget the sacrifices that families have made over the last 234 years in service to our country. Without the love and support of those families, we would not have been able to defend the freedoms of our country over the centuries. Today, one person has to make the decision to sacrifice many things to volunteer to serve in the armed forces. But there is always someone else in the background who is waiting for them to come home.
